In I Thessalonians 5:1-10 Paul describes the arrival of the day of the Lord. Considering that the preceding verses spoke of Christ’s return and when Paul uses the word Lord he is speaking of Christ in particular it seems most appropriate that this phrase mean the coming of Christ.
