RIP – ”Rest in peace”. We’ve seen ”RIP” on tombstones and expressed the sentiment ”May he rest in peace.” There is a rest and a wonderful peace in Jesus Christ to be had in the here and now (Hebrews 4). Paul said ”I die daily.” It’s an interesting concept, one that on the surface may seem contradictory and enigmatic. Any insights?

Having just last night watched ”The Book of Eli”, which I highly recommend (though maybe not for children due to violence and some inappropriate language used by the lawless ones), I am so thankful for the Word of God! The Word of God is ”sharper than a two-edged sword” (Heb 4:12) (Eph 6:17) and defeats evil. If you need victory in your life, learn to use the sword the Lord has so graciously given us – His Truth!
