@hannahlyn my Psalm 7 thought is up

”God is a righteous judge” (Psalm 7:11)

I find peace in knowing this. It’s sometimes easy to let pride seep in and begin to judge people either inwardly or outwardly, but ultimately God is the most righteous judge. And just as Psalm 7:9 says, he is a God ”who searches minds and hearts”. So he knows things that we may never see or hear! He knows our motives, our thoughts.

And I love how David says, ”let the LORD judge the peoples. Judge me, O LORD…” Not only is he pointing fingers and telling God to judge others, but he’s saying judge ME also.

The trouble they cause recoils on them;
their violence comes down on their own heads. (Psalm 7:16)

The Lord does punish the wicked. But it is interesting how he often just allows their own deeds to be their own consequences.
