Peas in your nose? Did David tell you about his brother doing that? :)

In reply to - karina posted an update about Genesis 2: Verse 17 stood out to me today. In our OT Survey class, we discussed that parents should avoid making rules before they’re needed, lest the child get ideas from the rules. For example, if you tell your kid he cannot put peas in his nose, you may have just [...] · View

Don’t let anyone deprive you of the promise, the Blessed Hope of His Coming! (Titus 2:13) Those who mockingly ask ’Where is the promise of His coming?’ scoffers! (2 Peter 3:3) Jesus WILL COME again! All through Scripture, is the promise of His Coming to judge evil and redeem His people! (See also Matthew 13:38-43)

I’ve always thought the Second Coming will be the BIGGEST EVENT of human history. It seems the great commentator Matthew Henry agrees. Without the Second Coming, ”all the other articles of the Christian faith will signify very little; this is that which fills up and gives the finishing stroke to all the rest.” (on 2 Peter 3) Amen! He continues: ”The believer not only desires that he may come, but having a promise that he will come, he is also firmly and fully persuaded that he will come.” We are admonished to be ”looking for the Day of God” and also to be ”hastening” it! (2 Peter 3:12) Now, may you understand why this is a subject I reference often in conversation. Maranatha! Come, LORD Jesus, come!

When I was in India a year ago, churches were buying billboard space to calm people down, telling them that the world was not going to end in 2012. Even in rural India this was a fear! While the world may not be ending in 2012, the Babylonian world system will end! Jesus Christ is Lord! And His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom! You’re invited!

In reply to - Spiritually Complete posted an update: End of the World-December 21, 2012 Is the world really looking to a lost civilization known as the Mayans and the ambiguous predictions of Nostradamus to determine the precise day the world will end? The chosen day, December 21, 2012, is a day full of speculation and fear. You may read [...] · View

We have a choice between a ”second death” or a second birth! These are your choices:

God is going to judge evil! That’s a good thing! He doesn’t want these comic troublemakers and terrorists running around forever wreaking havoc. Haven’t you asked yourself why God allows such evil. He will put a stop to it all. All evil will be thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14)

The devil and all his minions are doomed. The question is whose side are you on? Do you fight for evil or do you root for good? God decides what’s good and evil. In the end, it’s His opinion that matters. But let’s get back to your second choice because eternity in a lake of fire with the hordes of hell does not sound like a rational option.

Your alternative is to jump aboard the Ark of safety. This Ark of safety is Jesus Christ. Your choice is eternal life in Christ Jesus or you’re going down with the ”second death”. There is no other option, folks. All evil will be banished by God from this beautiful reality He created for us.

So your choice is eternal life through the second birth experience in which you are born again and enter into the Ark of safety and get your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Your life will be safely ”hid in Christ” while this final judgment is made.

God always encourages us to ”choose life” but the choice is yours.

  • Perhaps the Book of the Prophet Zephaniah is skipped over by some who would rather not hear its proclamations of judgment: judgment on Judah (Zeph 1); judgment on the Gentile nations (Zeph 2:4-15); judgement on Jerusalem (Zeph 3:1-7); judgment on the nations: “All the earth shall be devoured with the fire of My jealousy.” (Zeph [...]

“They don’t know how to cry,” I heard the Spirit whisper. Some of God’s people don’t know how to cry. Maybe that was one of the problems with the Laodicean church. (Revelation 3:14-22) Maybe a preoccupation with material wealth had quenched the Spirit which would have moved them to tears had they recognized their spiritually [...]

So, I got a ”reply” from the radio – and it’s great! A preacher (it sounded like Dr. Tony Evans) was talking about the Beatitudes and the Kingdom of God. He pointed out that it is the Father’s desire to GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM! He gives it to those who are ”poor in spirit”. When the Kingdom is operating in your life, you experience what it is ”like to be an overcomer”! And also that if you are ”rich in worry”, you’re not being ”poor in spirit”! Ha! That’s truth!

He talked about ”seek first His Kingdom”.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven!

    Now, isn’t God good?

We live in auspicious times.  The darkness may be getting darker BUT – halleluYAH! – the LIGHT is getting LIGHTER!  (Isaiah 60:2) As the Lord sent a servant of His to tell me some years back, at my weakest physical point, near death, “The best is yet to come!”  And it’s been getting better ever since!  (Had [...]

INTRODUCTION When I was a baby Christian, a Bible teacher was inquiring which books we would like to study. Even as young in the Lord as I [...]
